The latest round of grant funding through the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 2025 is now open for new applications, offering a valuable opportunity for farmers to invest in approved equipment and technology that enhances efficiency and animal welfare.

This year’s funding offers support across three key areas:

  • Improving productivity
  • Managing slurry
  • Enhancing animal health and welfare

The application window opened on 29th May 2025 and will close on 10th July 2025. Funding contributions are calculated based on the average expected cost of each item, not the actual invoiced cost.

Eligible farmers & contractors can access grants of between £1,000 and £25,000 per area, with up to 50% of the purchase cost covered for qualifying items. The government has allocated £46.7 million to this funding round, which will be delivered through a competitive application process.

Below is a list of machinery we believe qualifies for FETF 2025 support.

Please note: The FETF 2025 scheme is administered by the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). All funding decisions are made by the RPA. Grants are only available for farms located in England. Grant Funding Code: FETF207 - Air Drill for Establishing Cover Crops

Eligible KUHN Models: SH402, SH4080, SH600

KUHN’s SH402, SH4080, and SH600 small seed hoppers are eligible for FETF207 grant funding. These air drills can be fitted to KUHN or other manufacturers' cultivators and drills.

They feature electronic metering and can sow small seeds like mustard, clover, or phacelia using pipes, spreader plates, or coulters. Each model has a hopper of 300 litres or more and covers widths of 3m+.

Grant rate: 50%
Funding amount: £1,575 per machine

Grant Funding Code: FETF7 - Inter-row Hoe 6m

KUHN Rowliner with Rowlink camera guidance

KUHN’s Rowliner interrow hoe with Rowlink camera guidance linkage can distinguish between the crop and weeds between the rows using camera recognition. 

It detects the position of the neighbouring rows and only hoes the weeds in-between these, avoiding damage to the planted crop. Machines in the funding must be a minimum of 6m working width to comply.

Grant Funding Code: FETF200 - Tractor Mounted Flail Mulcher for Orchards and Vineyards (Large)

Eligible KUHN Models: BV 180 / BV 200, BV 220, BV 240, BVR 180 / BVR 200, BV 1800 / BV 2000 / BV 2200 / BV 2400, BVR 1800 / BVR 2000 / BVR 2200, TRP 175, TRP 175 RT/CVKUHN machines listed above are all PTO driven and mount to the tractor via the three-point linkage.

These can be used in orchard and vineyards for track maintenance between vines and on general areas to speed up mulching and remove pest and disease damage.

Raven systems meet these criteria, making them a strong choice for farmers looking to modernise steering at reduced cost with FETF support.

Eligible item: HE-VA Top Strigle

The HE-VA Top Strigle is a high-performance tractor mounted stubble rake use for effective weed control and seedbed preparation.

Funding amount: £6,720 per machine

Grant Funding Code: FETF110 - Cover Crop Roller

Eligible item: HE-VA Top Cutter/Crimpa Roller 3-6m

The HE-VA Top Cutter/Crimpa Roller (3–6m) is a heavy-duty roller designed for cover crop destruction and improved soil health.

Grant Funding Code: FETF421 - Onboard Weighing System for Agricultural Trailers

The Bailey 'Cropweigh'Onboard Weighing System is designed to provide real-time, accurate load readings directly in the field or on site, eliminating the need for weighbridge stops.

Grant rate: 40%
Funding amount: £1,398 per machine

 

Grant Funding Code: FETF278SH - Water Bowser with Integrated Trough

The Joskin Aquatrans (up to 5100L) AND Aquatrans XL (up to 10000L) water bowser qualifies under Grant Funding Code FETF278SH, providing durable, high-capacity mobile water transport essential for efficient livestock hydration and remote field operations.
