Earlier in the year, we celebrated National Apprenticeship Week by highlighting some of our apprentices and how they have gained valued skills for life through work-based learning programs.

Apprenticeships are an ideal way to kickstart a career and provide valuable ‘on the job’ industry experience that you don’t get with traditional educational routes. We talked to some of our team to hear what they had to say about their apprenticeship experience.

Recently qualified Annabelle Swain comments on her apprenticeship from her new role as Parts Advisor oin Shrewsbury.

"Being an apprentice is a great way to learn on the job. Growing up around Agriculture I knew I wanted to progress a career in this industry, but I also wanted to gain wider business skills. A Business Administration Apprenticeship at Rea ValleyTractors ticked both boxes, and it opens opportunities to progress and work in various fields in the sector.”

Jamie Taylor, now a qualified service technician at Shrewsbury following completion of his Level 3 Land Based Service Engineering Apprenticeship, reflects.

“My apprenticeship has given me a head start in the industry and has set me up for a successful career. It has not just equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge, but also given me the confidence to take on challenges. I’m excited about the opportunities available to me.”
